After abbreviated sophomore and junior seasons, Christopher Carter saved the best for last and is poised for a state championship.
On April 28, Carter signed a letter of intent to sprint for Arkansas State Track & Field.
“They have great facilities and the coaches have a strong knowledge of track and field,” Carter said. “Plus, there’s a Championship history at Arkansas State.”
This season, Carter set school records in the 100m dash (10.73 seconds) and the 200m dash (21.4 seconds).
Carter is a four-year member of the 4x200m relay team, serving as anchor for both the 4x200m and 4x100m relay teams.
Carter qualified to run in the 100m dash as well as the 200m dash at the New Balance Outdoor National Meet in North Carolina. He will also run in the 4x200m relay with the Arrow boys relay team.
Christopher Carter is the son of Patrick and Jacqueline Carter.
