Both of Clinton’s bowling teams found their way again at the top of the board as they hosted the Central Regional Bowling Tournament on Friday, Feb. 1 at Indian Lanes in Clinton.
The Arrow Kingpins defeated three teams to win the Regional Tournament, securing a spot in the finals where they can defend their 2018 State Title.
The Kingpins scored a total of 2,654 over Pearl, Brandon and Warren Central.
Casey Upton scored a 237 and a 201 on the day for the Arrows.
Matt Brown scored 191 and Christian Davis scored 185.
Brandon placed as runners-up scoring 2,314.
The Lady Kingpins also defeated Pearl, Brandon and Warren Central, recording a total of 2,258.
Lecia Grimmett scored a 212 on the day for the Lady Arrow Kingpins.
Amber Clark scored 185.
The Lady Bulldogs from Brandon placed as runners-up, scoring 1,827.
A Look Ahead
Both Clinton’s teams are set up to defend their MHSAA State Title from last year.
This year’s MHSAA State Tournament will be held Feb. 13 at the Metro 24 Bowling Center in Jackson.
