The Clinton Lady Arrows Volleyball team brought the MHSAA 6A State Championship home after defeating the Lewisburg Lady Patriots 3-2.
In dramatic form, the two teams traded control of the match, taking the championship bout to the final set.
With a mix of freshmen through senior players making major contributions, the young team dropped the first set but dominated the second and third matches to hold a strong 2-1 lead.

Clinton let a solid lead in the fourth set slip a way, finding themselves tied 2-2 with Lewisburg.
The Lady Arrows grabbed the early lead in the fifth set, going on a scoring spree with a 10-3 lead.
Lewisburg fought back to 13-11, getting within two of the Lady Arrows.
After a timeout, Coach Megan Brown’s team scored the next two points, clinching the Lady Arrows’ first MHSAA State Volleyball Title.
