Clinton High School has a history of sending quality offensive linemen to the collegiate level, and senior Jakobe McLaurin is the most recent O-Lineman to secure a spot at the next level.
On National Signing Day, Wednesday, February 5, offensive lineman Jakobe McLaurin signed a letter of intent to play for Northwest Mississippi Community College.
The 6-foot-3 315-pound lineman spent his senior year protecting the blind side at left tackle but played guard at times during his stint with the Arrows.
At the conclusion of his senior season, McLaurin was selected to participate in Bernard Blackwell All-Star Football Classic by the Mississippi Association of Coaches.
Jakobe is also a member of the Clinton High School Track & Field team where he participates in shot put and discus.
McLaurin has been named to several awards lists and looks to contribute to the Rangers football team during his freshman year.
Jakobe McLaurin is the son of Michelle and Ray McLaurin.
