What age do you start high school USA?
Elementary school is kindergarten through 5th grade (ages 5-10), middle school is grades 6-8 (ages 11-13), and high school is grades 9-12 (ages 14-18). We offer the resources below to assist you with information on local area public schools and aftercare programs.
What age do you start your first year of high school?
At the start of Middle School, students in 6th grade are 11 or 12 years old. Students start High School in 9th Grade in Freshman year at 13 or 14 years old.

How do you skip a year in high school?
A Written Request Identify the student and the grade level you wish the student to skip. State your reasons for making the request. Make your request anytime, but it may be best to submit it prior to the beginning of the school year so that a decision can be made before school starts.
